AMAVET

Association for youth, science and technology, AMAVET, is a nongovernmental, non-profit, civil organization for children and youth. It was founded in 1990 by establishing 300 clubs and joins more than 3200 members in villages and towns throughout Slovakia now. Club members develop their skills in the fields of astronomy, robotics, computer science, biotechnology, Earth science, and various other disciplines.

University of Žilina

The Expo Sciences Europe is going to take place at the University of Žilina. The University of Žilina was established as the Railway College on 1 October 1953 by the separation from the Czech Technical University in Prague. It has gone through numerous changes during its history. Finally, in 1996, it was renamed from the University of Transport and Communications to the University of Žilina in Žilina.
